Property Accessibility Statement

Arroyo Vista Inn Bed & Breakfast is a Craftsman style home built in 1910 and listed on the historic register of South Pasadena CA. In December 2020, a Mills Act Contract with city of South Pasadena was submitted and recorded to the LA County Register Recorder’s Office. The house was built as a private home for the Thompson family and continues to be a private residence today. There are five guest rooms on the second floor and five guest rooms on the 3rd floor. These rooms are accessible only by a flight of stairs with 18 total steps (9 steps to a landing area of 40 square feet and another 9 steps) to access second floor rooms and another 18 steps to access third floor guest rooms. The guest entrance to the B&B from our parking lot also has four stairs and the bed and breakfast is not wheelchair accessible. The Arroyo Vista Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the National Historic Preservation Act (16 U.S.C. 470 et seq.) and is designed as historic under State law. Thus, completing accessibility alternations would destroy the historical significance of the property. We hope that this description will help you in deciding if this is the right fit for you. Arroyo Vista Inn is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities.
