Places to Go

The Inn is centrally located near downtown Los Angeles and Old Town Pasadena.   Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Getty Museum, Rodeo Drive, Hollywood, Santa Monica and Venice Beach are all located within 45 minutes of the Inn.  In additional we have many local attractions listed below.

Huntington Library

Located approximately five miles from the Inn, the Huntington Library has it all in one beautiful location. Arguably one of Los Angeles’ best-hidden gems, Huntington Library contains many acres of luscious gardens, full of many colorful species of trees and flowers. There is a subtropical garden, a Chinese garden, Japanese garden and even a jungle. Sitting in the middle of these meticulously maintained gardens is a stunning mansion, which is home to a library and an art gallery. The library houses the most impressive collection of old and rare books and manuscripts that are important to British and American history. Three separate galleries house an exquisite collection of art pieces from 18th and 19th Century France and Britain. A fourth gallery houses changing exhibitions. This place is a haven for beauty, academia and history and is a must for anyone with a passion or interest in one of these areas.

Gamble House

Located approximately 4 miles from the Inn, the Gamble House in Pasadena, California, is an outstanding example of American Arts and Crafts style architecture. The house and furnishings were designed by architects Charles and Henry Greene in 1908 for David and Mary Gamble of the Procter & Gamble Company.


The house, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978, is owned by the City of Pasadena and operated by the University of Southern California.

Norton Simon Muesum

Located approximately 4 miles form the Inn, the Norton Simon Muesum is home to an extensive collection of art ranging from 14th Century through to contemporary. Collections include European sculptures and paintings, as well as Asian crafts, tapestries and prints. The museum also houses a theater, which plays a comprehensive program of films, lectures, dance performances and music festivals all year round.

Citadel Outlet Stores

Located 12 miles from the Inn, the Citadel Outlets is Los Angeles’ only outlet shopping center, housing more than 130 top name brand stores and restaurants.  The 700,000 sq. ft. center features an array of retail stores for shoppers to experience, including COACH, Michael Kors, kate spade, Tommy Hilfiger, Armani, GUESS, Hugo BOSS, H&M and more."

Old Town Pasadena

Located just 4 miles from the Inn, Old Pasadena is one of the West Coast's most vibrant shopping, dining, and entertainment destination districts featuring an authentic downtown experience combined with all of the modern conveniences.

Farmer's Market

Set in the historic Mission West District of South Pasadena less than 1 mile from the Inn, this market features the finest in fruits and vegetables, including organic, gouda and goat cheese, fresh flowers, honey, breads, eggs, herbs and much more. It is held every Thursday, rain or shine, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Meridian at Mission Street in South Pasadena.

Outdoor Activities

Southern California is rich with outdoor activities all within easy driving distance of the Inn.    The Inn is located with 20 minutes of a National Forest and numerous hiking trails.   We are also within an hour's drive of ocean fishing either on the pier, charter or kayak.   Also many great bike rides starting from the Inn or a mountain bike ride on our local trails.     Our guide Clayton Lupien can custom an outdoor activity to your interests and ability.  Clayton is an experienced hunter and fisherman.
