Where is the Inn located?

The Arroyo Vista Inn is located in South Pasadena, CA which is just 6 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 3 miles from Old Town Pasadena and Pasadena Convention Center.

What are the directions to the Inn?
Address is 335 Monterey Road, South Pasadena, Ca 91030

The Inn is not visible from the street.  Look for the Arroyo Vista Inn sign and driveway located along a stone wall.
On south side of the street between Indiana and the railroad crossing.

Is the Inn located near public transportation?

The Inn is a short 10 minute walk to the South Pasadena Gold Line Station.   The Gold Line light rail system will take you to most major attractions within the Los Angeles area.  It is a short 15 minute train ride to Downtown Los Angeles and 5 minutes to Old Town Pasadena.  It also takes you to Los Angeles Union Station where you can take an Amtrak or the Metrolink train to Disneyland, San Diego or Santa Barbara. 

Do you have an airport shuttle?

We do not have an airport shuttle but we can pick you up at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for a flat fee of $60 during non-rush hours or $100 during rush hours.

We can also pick you up from Burbank Airport for $30 during on rush hours and $50 during rush hours.

Do you have parking?

We have free parking in front of the Inn just steps from the Inn door.

Do you allow pets?

We allow pets in certain rooms.   You need to contact us via email at to make a pet reservation.

We have a $50 per stay pet cleaning fee.

Do you have an elevator?

We do not have an elevator and all our rooms are located on the second and third floor.

Booking & Cancellations Policies

What does your room rate include?

Our room rates include Breakfast for two, WIFI, Parking, Taxes and Happy Hour.

What is your deposit policy?

We collect 50% at time of your reservation and the balance prior to the arrival date.

Can we put a rollaway bed in our room?

Not all our rooms allow for a roll away bed. 

Room 1 the Oak Terrace has an extra twin bed already.

Room 3 (Sunrise), Room 4 (Daybreak) and Room 9 (Forest Room) can all accommodate an extra roll away.

Extra beds with breakfast are $50 per night.  If just the bed and no extra person then it is $35 per night.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund if cancelled 14 days in advance (30 days for New Year's).

Changes can be made inside the 14 day cancellation window if the new booking date is within three months for no charge.  

Generally we work with our guests to come up with a solution if something comes up and they can't make their original reservation date.

Check-In and Check-Out

When can we check in?

Normal check-in time is 3:00 pm.   You can arrive anytime after that.

You will receive a door code three days before arrival which you will use to enter the Inn.  If you do not receive a door code 24 hours before arrival please email us at

After you enter the Inn there is a self-check in desk off the living room.

Is there early check-in?

Sometimes we can accomodate early check-in.   Please contact us via email at the day of your arrival to confirm if you can check in early.  Worst case you can leave your bags at the Inn and get your key early so you don't have to worry about it later.

What time is check-out?

Check out is 11:00 am.

Breakfast & Happy Hour

What are the breakfast hours?

Weekdays 7:00 am to 9:00 am
Weekends 8:00 am to 10:00 am

Breakfast is in the dining room.   Breakfast in Bed is available for a $30 charge during normal breakfast hours.

What do you serve for breakfast?

Breakfast during the week is a cold buffet plus sit down hot breakfast in our dining room.  So you can either grab something quickly or sit down for a nice hot meal with an egg dish, breakfast meat and bread of your choice.

Weekends is a sit-down breakfast in the dining room.

Can we bring a guest or guests to breakfast?

We love our guests to bring friends or family to breakfast.  It is an extra $15 per person. 

We appreciate advance notice but that is not necessary.  

Can we get breakfast brought to our room?

Yes we can deliver breakfast to your room during normal breakfast hours.   There is a $30 charge.

What if we have dietary restrictions?

We can accomodate most dietary restrictions.  Just let us know at the time of the reservation or email us at prior to arrival.

When is Happy Hour?

Happy hour is 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm daily in the Living Room.   It usually consists of wine and cheese but may vary upon occasion.

Do you have internet access?

There is free high speed WIFI throughout the property.

Are there televisions?

All rooms have flat screen TVs with Cable TV access.
