February 7 and 8, 2014, Arroyo Vista Inn brings back our ever popular cooking classes. The classes will be taught by Rosie Bent, an experienced classical chef, recently highlighting raw foods. Each class will be 90 minutes with 3 recipes: appetizer, main dish and desert, accompanied by wine. The classes will be held Friday evening (6:30) and Saturday afternoon (2:00). The cost is $75 per class or $130 for both Friday and Saturday classes. This can be combined with a room at a 20% discount, if you prefer not to drive. So, one night's stay plus class for 2, including tasting and wine, ranges from $310-$374, depending on your room selection. Two nights with four classes (Friday and Saturday for 2 persons) ranges from $580-$708. Make it a weekend of food, wine, luxury and relaxation! We are accepting menu requests for each class. Here are a few possibilities: crab cakes with sauce, fig and goat cheese bruschetta, crab and broccoli wontons, beef filet on baguette, a wide variety of soups (hot and cold) and salads, halibut glazed with pineapple, pepper steak with port wine mushroom sauce, chicken stuffed with spinach and tomatoes, chili cilantro lime chicken, just to name a few. Rosie can also do classes geared solely toward raw food using a Vitamix. Call us with your menu requests.
